Development of youth movement in Kratovo

The research-voluntary association – Kratovo (RVA – Kratovo) is a youth organization founded in February 2003. In the Court register at the Magistrates court Kratovo it’s signed up in May, the same year. The organization is formed in order to develop the youth movement in Kratovo and the region. At the moment it has 80 members, 20 of which are actively included in the work of the organization.

RVA has realized more projects and activities so far. One of the most important projects is bringing a regional youth multicultural programme, i.e. forming a regional youth multicultural centre, project that was financially supported by World Bank – regional office in Skopje. For this project in September there will be a promotion of a book in which all the activities connected to the project are included.

Through the project “Art workshop” RVA has so far organized five exhibitions, and 9 talented young artists, students at DSU “Mitko Pendzukliski”, visit it. Through the “Art workshop” RVA organized a 14-day stay for two undergraduates from the Art academy from Belgrade, who were able to work in Kratovo during those 14 days. This summer, through RVA, 30 volunteers will leave on summer working camps from more towns from Eastern Macedonia.

At the moment the organization is working on the development of five programmers, and those are: Theatre workshop RVA-THEATRE, Workshop RVA-ETNO that includes youth folklore orchestra and ensemble, and these two workshops will be realized in cooperation with the Youth Cultural Centre from Kriva Palanka and the Cultural Centre “Lazar Sofijanov”. The programme RVA-CLUB, RVA-ART, includes four workshops and those are for exchange, exhibitions and a youth art workshop. RVA-INFO includes the bulletin that will be published once a month, the web page and the whole advertising material for the needs of the organization. These programmes will be active from November 2005. For all those who are interested, in RVA you can get a Youth card EURO 26.
