At the Old Bazaar in Skopje

The Children Theatre Centre opened

The Children Theatre Centre, known in the public by its activities since 1999 when it started as a quick operational project for reducing the stress of children-refugees from Kosovo, finally received its building at the Old Skopje Bazaar (former cinema Napredok) at the end of September. The opening of this remarkable facility was attended by a number of participants at the projects, children and young people, but also some senior citizens who respect the idea for establishing a cultural home where the differences in languages and customs will be irrelevant, a house in which the differences will blend into one, which has been the motto of the Old Bazaar through the centuries.

Since 1999, the Children Theatre Centre has realized over 20 projects that animate the children, young people and a number of artists from Macedonia and abroad. Among the major projects we can mention "Children, theatre and education" which has been realized through: street stories, workshops from playwrights and summer school for theatre and education, realized in cooperation with "Search for common ground" and they have also realized "Our neighbourhood - a theatre" and "The Children Puppet Theatre".
