Festival of the Vlach Culture in Malovista

On 10 August this year, the Bitola village Malovista hosted the international "Ethno Festival Malovista 2003", which has become a traditional show of the Vlach culture and tradition. The Festival was organized by the Association for Sustainable Development of Malovista and the sub-Pelister villages EKE from Bitola, in cooperation with the Local Community and the Church Board from Malovista and the Vlach Commune "Manaki Brothers" from Bitola.

This very interesting event took place under the patronage of the Capari Municipality Mayor, Mr. Jordan Staninovski and the Mayor of Bitola, Mr. Zlatko Vrskovski, and participants were cultural and art associations from Macedonia, Romania, Greece, Bulgaria, Albania and Serbia and Montenegro, as well as several artists from Macedonia. The exhibition called "Malovista, a lasting tradition" was opened within the Festival as part of another project of EKE association, within the "Living Heritage" Programme of the Open Society Institute Macedonia Foundation and the King Boduen Foundation from Belgium.
