Three address books in the field of environment

The Macedonian office of the Regional Environmental Center - for Central and Eastern Europe – REC realizes the project “Balkan Information Service”, This project, which is realized within the Program for regional reconstruction of the environment in South-Eastern Europe, aims at improving the public informing on environmental issues.

For that purpose, information about the latest editions of address books Government and environment, Sources of NGOs’ financing and South-Eastern European countries environmental events, have been collected. Contacts with the governmental institutions working in the field of environmental protection and international institutions financially supporting the NGO sector have been established. The address books are in the preparatory phase.

A brochure called “Balkan Information Service” has been prepared within this project and distributed to 120 NGOs, 200 governmental institutions, academic institutions, media and international organizations with offices in Macedonia.
The project finishes in September, and the financial support for its realization provided the US Agency for Environmental Protection.
