"Establishing relations and co-relations between NGO and the media was the title of the training organized by the Macedonia Centre for International Cooperation (MCIC) and the Macedonia Institute for Media (MIM), that took place on 2/3 and 8/9 November this year.
About twenty NGOs from Macedonia took part at the workshops. They discussed the following subjects: learning the techniques, methods and models for approaching the media (public announcements, press-conferences, regular contacts-briefings), giving statements and making a good interview, maintaining relations with the media, lobbying and organizing campaigns.
Trainers were Zivko Andreevski from the Macedonian Radio-Television, Jasmina Mironski, France-Press reporter, Aneta Sijakova, reporter at Tera TV, Bitola and Marina Tuneva, communications coordinator at the Institute for Sustainable Communities.
At the public debate that took place on 11 November, participants from the both workshops and journalists reporting on NGO sector events, discussed the relations between NGO and the media, the present cooperation and the bad points and problems that occur in their everyday communication.
