George Soros new investment

American University of Central Asia

George Soros, a businessman and philanthropist of Hungarian - Jewish origin, during his recent tour through Europe and Asia, at the press-conference in Kirgistan, declared that he would open new American University of Central Asia. He announced his vision that the new education institution will be a centre for expansion of the academic freedom and the freedom of speech in Kirgistan and Central Asia.

An agreement has already been reached with the Kirgistan president, Ashkar Akaev, for building a student dormitory and a conference centre, an investment worth 6 million dollars, one third of which will be Soros' investment and the remaining two of the USA and Kirgistan governments.
