The Best Research Story for the Year 2001

On 21 March this year in Skopje, the Macedonian Institute for Media awarded the prices “The Best Research Story in 2001”.

From the total of 140 newspaper, radio and TV articles by 55 authors competing for this year’s price, the first price was awarded to Jordanka Ivanovska for the article “Handicapped are still looking for a place under the sun”, which was published in the “Vest” daily. Biljana Zdravkovska was awarded the second price for the text “Alumina expelled from Sarajevo after a 1,1, million DM embezzlement”, published in “Kapital” and the third price is shared between Mirvete Halili for the radio program “The story of Fitore Bahtiri”, Rumen Darkovski and Jovanco Pejcinovski for the text “Drug in the schools, drug on the streets”, published in Bitolski Vesnik and Ivan Blazevski for the text “She has slept with hundreds of KFOR soldier to buy her freedom”, published in “Dnevnik”.

The MIM price for a best research story will be awarded every year.
