How Can Youth CVOs Work With Public Sector and Business Sector?

Balkan Children and Youth Foundation is organizing a three-days training course on practical skills and relevant knowledge about partnerships with government and business companies.
The training is designed for senior staff of CVOs active in youth development, running programs in the areas of education, civic education, employment, health, culture, and leisure time. The CVOs should be based in one of following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania and Serbia & Montenegro.
In this course we provide an introduction to the world of corporate support and of local and central government institutions. We will address questions such as:
How I can match my organization’s needs with the interests of a business and of government? What non-monetary support will they be able to provide to my organization? How do I fund out if a particular company funds CVOs? How do I approach government offices and business companies? How I keep a good relationship going? The sessions will answer to these questions and more. The training will be delivered by experts from Bulgarian Charities Aid and Organizational Development Foundation of Bulgaria.
There is no fee for this training and accommodation and transport are covered by BCYF. The applications should be sent till March 9th, 2004 to BCYF office. Documents and more information are available on www.balkanyouth.org
