Stip
Forum on social responsibility of the companies
Things are getting better, but neither the employees nor the employers are aware of the full meaning of the term “social responsibility”, was stated in the common conclusion of the Forum on social responsibility of the companies that took place on 6 February in Stip, under the patronage of UNDP.
“The trade Union for ……, Leather and Shoes, said that the working conditions have been improved lately. However, the main problem remains to be salary. In spite of the fact that collective agreements have been signed and the lowest salary in each sector has been determined, the employers are still led by the motto “you can have the job, but I’ll pay you as much as I can”, said Angelko Angeleski from the trade union.
The employers say they have very little information to make a strategy that would please everyone in the company.
The author of the National Study for social responsibility of the companies, Aleksandar Nikolov, emphasized that the managers cannot understand yet that the social responsibility will make the work in the companies easier.
The UNDP are pleased with the project and its start.
