The 4th Forum of the Civic Society in Macedonia in Skopje is opened
The Forum as an opportunity for a glance in the future
“The 4th Forum of the Civic Society will have a glance towards the future without the unnecessary retrospectives and inner views in the Macedonian society. The primary direction of the Forum, above all, is the question: in which way will Macedonia be considered as a candidate for membership into the European Union in 2005, considering the general opinion that the membership into the EU is the future for Macedonia.”
This was stated by Sasho Klekovski, the executive director of the Macedonian Centre for International Cooperation, on the ceremony of today’s opening of the 4th Forum of the Civic Society in Skopje, Macedonia.
“It is well known that the future membership into the European Union is not influenced only by the solving of the political issues, but also by the economical development of the country, and in this context, the small and medium companies are a very important factor for the rapid economical development” stated Venko Gligorov, the director of Login Systems, on the opening ceremony today. At the sane time he added that there has to be improvement into the Law for working relations, meaning that the relation employer-employee has to be brought onto a satisfying level i.e. both sides have to acknowledge their rights but at the same time their obligations too.
The opening today has also coincided with the commemoration of the International day of People with Special Needs, so they hold a distinctive place on the forum . “We must not believe that we are not able to do anything, since we are human beings after all. We must have faith, believe in people, come together and unite. This is the only correct approach to success”- stated Zvonko Sharevski the representative from the Association of the People with Special Needs “Polio Plus”.
The 4th forum of the civic society is held in the halls of Skopje Fair and is consisted of 3 different components: exposition section, representing 243 organizations from the region and beyond; forum section in which 30 panels will be organized; and the last section comprises the numerous socio-cultural events.
The Forum will be opened until 5th December, 2005. |
